I went to Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton and St. Hilda’s where I read Chemistry. Emigrated to Canada in 1963 and worked for 3 years for Alcan as an analytical chemist. Moved to Sarnia and taught math, chemistry and physics at Lambton College. Moved to Montreal and studied for a Masters in Urban Planning at McGill University. Commissioner on the South Shore School Board for several years. Taught Environmental Studies at Concordia University in the Department of Science and Human Affairs for 5 years. Taught Chemistry, Political Science and Humanities (Women’s issues, Utopia, and a course about Montreal) for 15 years. Earned a PhD in Education from McGill. Joined the administration at Champlain as a Dean in 1992. Became Academic Dean at John Abbott College in 1999 and retired this year.
Interests: cross country skiing, hiking, sailing, gardening, politics. Taking courses in MILR in chamber music and Proust.
