Pierre Trudeau as a comics writer?

It’s the greatest comics collection of all time: even the former PM wanted to contribute
The oh-so-’60s tale of Michel Choquette and The Someday Funnies—the monumental comics collection that never happened (yet)—is one of the fabled hangovers of the 20th century’s most culturally tumultuous decade. For seven years in the 1970s Choquette, an exceedingly well-connected young Quebecer—Pierre Trudeau was a family friend—roamed the world on publishers’ advances and his own dime, gathering material for nothing less than a history of the previous decade in graphics form.

Karl Moore’s new book, The Origins of Globalization, published by Routledge and released this month, is a time-travel romp through ancient times. It is a great adventure – and profoundly instructive of the way the world works.
Contrasting the Great Crash of 2008 with the Great Crash of 1788 BC,  Desautels Faculty of Management professor Karl Moore and David Lewis (Cal State, Long Beach) combine archeology, history, religion and economics with the theory and practice of the modern multinational corporation to tell a compelling tale that appears never before to have been told. A most welcome message from a Voice From The Past, Maurice Marwood
“It has now been determined that my current assignment will be finished on May 1, 2009. We have accomplished what I came here [Taiwan] to do: the turnaround of Capital Machinery Limited is completed and the business has experienced 5 years of consistent growth in sales, profit and market share. In fact, Caterpillar is now the market leaderthe first time in its 50-plus year history in Taiwan. You can read all about the trials and tribulations when you buy my book—it should be available by late February.* Our future is therefore in a state of flux; however, I would like to spend a few more years making a contribution to business, and will be investigating opportunities—retirement is not yet on my list. I will keep you posted as the next few months unfold; please stay in touch.
Wishing you all a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year in the Chinese year of the Ox!

It can be ordered online or by email , but wait until it becomes available near the end of February—I will send you an email. Eventually, it will be available online through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc., and who knows, maybe even from an actual book store!
