COPP, William Geoffrey (Bill)
Peacefully on September 9th 2011, in his 68th year after a courageous battle with Acute Leukemia (AML).
Husband of Elaine (Wilson), loving father of Deanna and Caragh. Survived by his brothers David (Linda) and Terry (Linda), nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Dr. Stephen Caplan, Helen and the caring staff at the Jewish General Hospital for their kindness and compassion throughout these last 9 months.
Donations would be greatly appreciated to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation  or The Alzheimer’s Society of Montreal, a cause close to Bill’s heart as he was a founder of the Toe Blake Golf Tournament benefiting the Alzheimer’s Society.
A private memorial will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Salon Roland Menard in Lachute.
Condolences maybe be left at www.salonrolandmenard.com

We are deeply saddened to learn of Bill’s death.
We will greatly miss his Copp Comment, a treasure of sage advice and forthright political opinion that never failed to inform, entertain and amuse us.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to all his family.

Bill never attended Wednesday Night, however over the years information from the Copp Comment and/or his often caustic commentaries about the political scene in North America formed the basis for some of our own comments.
