We were on the road when we heard the sad news, so I asked Diana Nicholson to add our names to the message.
On our own behalf, let me just say that knowing Karen was a joy, and we are saddened by her departure.
Lorne, our thoughts are with you at this terrible time.

Dear Lorne and family,
Words seem so puny at times [like] this; however I do pray that you will sense the love and care of all those who have been touched by Karen’s kindness and generosity of spirit as I have been by you both.

Karen, you have gone from our sight but your voice is in our hearts and minds forever. Thank you for your gifts of friendship and laughter. You faced life with determination and courage and a wry shrug at fate tossed over your shoulder. We will miss you.
Lorne and Gaby, please accept our deepest sympathies,
Margaret and Ron Walker

Karen was an intensely loyal friend and an unfailingly elegant, witty, gentle and intelligent woman – she was a Lady in all the best and most classic senses of that title.
We are all poorer for losing her.
My deep sympathies to you Lorne.
May Karen rest in peace.
Margo Somerville

Our deepest sympathies to Lorne, Gaby and Charles. Karen was such a vibrant part of our lives and, as the legendary Lady Hamilton, the voice of Wednesday Night. We will all miss her deeply and treasure the memory of her friendship.
