We will be welcoming lots of new faces at this edition of the salon, and it looks promising! To the topics below, please add new provincial cabinet and the federal political scene.

Wow, this next session concludes year three of successive and successful monthly salons, come rain or shine. After the rambunctiousness of the last salon, where the gavel was of some use, we anticipate more vivid discussion, considering the state of turmoil of the world around us: new premier in BC [Christy Clark], possible call for federal elections after March 22nd budget, the Middle East in crisis, food costs around the world escalating, the American government payroll battlefield…

Lots of change, lots of opportunities, lots of aspects to thoughtfully consider through the various lenses our varied attendees bring along.

This month’s one question poll (OQP) is on choices politicians make – CAUTION: This is meant to be WHIMSICAL and CONTROVERSIAL, so proceed only if in the right mindset and remember it’s entirely anonymous. You can answer, whether you can come to the salon or not, and thank you for the great fast response last time!

And last but not least, three interesting thoughts…

· For all the lovers of books and new ideas – what do you think of Seth Godin’s Domino Project ?

· For all the fans of uniting Art and Science – why can’t we all be like Nathalie Portman ?

· For all of us who have erred along the way, German Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg has announced his resignation after weeks of criticism for plagiarism in his Ph.D. – what mistakes we accept in our leaders/celebrities and why some are unforgivable?
