OUR WISH FOR YOU: PEACE AND JOY

Peace is the gentle, soothing harp; Joy is the glorious blare of trumpets.

Peace is the haunting strain of Canada’s oldest Christmas song, the beautiful Huron Carol or “‘Twas in the Moon of Wintertime”, written by Jean de Brébeuf in the native language of the Huron/Wendat people.

Joy is Handel’s triumphant Hallelujah.

Without inner Peace, there is no Joy.

Without Joy, Peace cannot be savored.

Dove of Peace world

In this season, celebration and reflection must go hand in hand.

As we look around our world today, the prospects for Peace are slender, but we take comfort in the outpouring of compassion and generosity of so many individuals and organizations working to alleviate misery and despair wherever they find it.

Our wish for the world is that good will prevail over prejudice and humanity over fanaticism.

That efforts large and small to create lasting Peace and Joy be rewarded with success.

Our wish for all our family and friends, wherever you are, is that you may enjoy inner peace and joy in your daily lives.

That the New Year be filled with the joy of new passions, people, projects and places.

That we continue to share the warmth of friendship and love, now and throughout our lives.
